Product Description
Adventure on a D.A.R.E. is the first in a series of true-life accounts describing Fritz T. Sprandel's journey into himself in which he discovers his capricious nature and raises questions about the nature of faith. During the course of his adventure, Fritz visits a variety of natural wonders, small towns, and fascinating people on a budget of ten cents and his own amazing resourcefulness. After overcoming the challenges of the wild, he finds himself in a foreign country, falsely charged with espionage. Then he faces, and incredibly survives relatively unscathed, a revolutionary tribunal trial in Castro's Cuba.

The kid from Allentown just couldn't sit still. I worked with Fritz at Ye Olde Ale House in Bethlehem, and somehow knew that he would author a book someday. The day came, and the reading was easy and fun. And it was only the beginning, as other adventures were to follow. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of the man who couldn't sit still. A definite reading for anyone who champions an adventurer.

Setting off with a canoe, a cooler full of beer, a little bit of food, and a dime (to call when he quit), Fritz Sprandel set out to paddle from the East Coast to the West Coast. The book is a very easy read, but it will cause you to think about your own life. If you ever wanted to run away and do something crazy, you will enjoy this book. If not, you will enjoy reading Fritz's encounters with different types of people and how he grows during his trip.
